Introduction

For this prestigious hospitality project, Elysium Oak manufactured a bespoke engineered-oak flooring system inspired by the elegant geometry of the lotus flower.
​
Unlike conventional wooden flooring, the design combines individually manufactured oak elements to create flowing petal formations and distinctive geometric inlays. The warm timber tones bring natural character to the spa while complementing its curved architecture, stone finishes and softly illuminated interiors.

The result is a statement parquet floor that feels calm and luxurious while giving the renovated spa a unique visual identity.
A Bespoke Floor

The flooring was developed around the spa’s lotus-inspired interior concept. Carefully arranged oak sections form overlapping petal shapes, creating movement across the reception, corridors, lounges and treatment spaces.

Natural variation in the timber ensures that every section has its own grain and character. The pattern becomes part of the architecture without overwhelming the peaceful atmosphere of the spa

Precision-Manufactured Engineered Oak Parquet
This is not a standard off-the-shelf parquet floor. Each component was precisely manufactured to achieve the required geometry, clean alignment and continuous visual flow.

The engineered construction provides greater dimensional stability than traditional solid timber, making it particularly suitable for air-conditioned luxury interiors in the UAE. Accurate production also allows the complex pattern to meet surrounding walls, curved features and adjoining finishes cleanly.
